This has to be an IMAX experience. I just wish they open another one
this
side of Dubai.

I highly doubt it from a market prospective. I just don't see it so viable as of now. I have been to the Grand I-Max 5 or 6 times it has never been that crowded. Last time this year the viewers were scattered on two rows, and we were like 20 people in the cinema watching one of this year's biggest hit Harry Potter 6. I think a city like Dubai need an Imax and it already has it. So bite the bullet and drive or take the metro and say thank you God. Other people has to take long costly trips to do so.

The 'problem' with many people not being too excited about 3D cinemas (especially in a remote market like Dubai) is because there not enough 3D *content.*
They are saying
Avatar
will be be the gamechanger. But already you are seeing a lot of animated movies get the 3D treatment, so the wheels are turning pretty fast. I am learning 3D filmmaking and who knows -- maybe I'll make a 3D video of someone beating off and project it on a 42ft screen in RealD 3D.

I don't think Shariq was talking about 3D cinema, as he was wishing for another I-Max in Dubai. I totally agree that as the number of 3D films increases, theatres should keep up with the trend and upgrade to the technology. Dubai is fortunate because there are three venues with such capabilities right now: Grand I-Max in Ibn Batota Mall, Grand Festival City, and Reel Cinema. In Bahrain everybody is waiting for Bahrain City Centre to open its cineplex, but no one knows for sure whether it has state of the art Real 3D technology or if an I-Max cinema would be a part of it, I personally think it is possible it will feature a Real 3D cinema, but I don't think they will bother and open an I-Max there.

Here you go, a longer trailer, which gives us what the whole movie is about, I would avoid it if you dont want to know key plot lines.

The storyline (from the trailer) is not original at all, so don't worry about been spoiled.

The new trailer looks good. I'll try to watch
Christmas Carol
on IMAX to catch this trailer there in 3D.

I will ry avoiding all the trailers about
Avatar
so I can come to it wihout being spoiled. For some reason I am doing this with only
Avatar
, for I have never really actively avoided trailers.

The trailer pumps me up...just that line, "from the director of T2, Terminator, True Lies etc etc" is marvelous. As ak has said, there seems to be nothing really revolutionary about the plot, it doesn't give away anything we don't know already or expect from the film.

I agree, it's not spoiler-esque at all. In fact, it does right what the first trailer got wrong.
