Synopsis: in Triangle, Jess is a waitress and a single mother raising an autistic boy. One day she is asked to go in a yachting trip in the Atlantic Ocean. Jess and her friends are having a good time in the open sea, , but when a mysterious storm strikes the yacht, an endless nightmare might just begun for everyone.

This is a horror mystery staring Melissa George, who is the go-to girl for such films, and written and directed by British director Christopher Smith who directed before the decently thrilling Creep, and the well made horror comedy Severance. This one I won't talk much about because I don't want to spoil anything. Suffice to say it is really spooky and after a well paced buildup, when the nightmare starts, the film sustains the suspense and the mood and never drop it for one minute. The film doesn't depend on sounds effects and noises, artificial jumping moments or such cheap shots to frighten the audience. The story itself is like a Twilight Zone episode, a really fucked up one. If you want another hint, if you like Timecrimes you will love this one. As for me I give it 4/5.

I like your reviews, but try to avoid emphasizing the rating so much. (You always cap off your piece with "...and I give it." It does not read well and also reduces the actual review. For example, I sometimes find myself not reading your views on the film and just eyeballing the rating number, before moving onto the next thread...)

I don't like using ratings at all, but that's me. I am not discouraging you from using them, but perhaps you can adjust your writing tonally whilst still retaining the ratings, if you like.

Triangle is out in Dubai this weekend. Do yourselves a favor and catch it, it is really really good! Aside from An Education, I don't see a better release this weekend than Triangle, so if you love a good mind fuck, you will take my word on it.
