Hrithik
sure has some fantastic representation, or great networking.
That is true, though most of his solo movies have not done too well (when he is not working with his dad) he gets the best of directors signing him.

He is a very sincere actor, and brings a lot to the screen even before he says anything, so I guess its understandable all the top directors want to work with him, and have.

Shilpa Shetty is frantically learning Indian recipes for her restaurant business
Shilpa is India's new mistress of spices to Britain. And she's taking her job very seriously. It looks like a sabbatical from acting for Shilpa as she gets busy in her new role as an international cuisine queen.
And the best thing about her new role is, Shilpa doesn't want to go the Tarla Dalal or Madhur Jaffrey way. No instant cook books for the latest recipe Rani. Shilpa wants to go the whole hog.
On the lookout for the rarest and most exotic and undiscovered dishes Shilpa will now cruise to the remotest parts of India in search of new recipes.
In coming months and years, Shilpa hopes to spread the aroma of Indian spices and curries to every part of the world. In her new avatar as the part-owner of a reputed chain of restaurants and Indian cuisine in Britain, Shilpa Shetty is adamant to prove she is not just a glamorous name for the franchise as she was accused of being in cricket.
Shilpa intends to lend not just her name and glamorous persona to her new food-brand 'Shilpa's Gourmet Creations' she's also determined to be a hands-on mistress of spices.
The lady currently more an entrepreneur than an actress, is learning as many recipes from Britain's celebrity chef Andy Varma as she can. Once she returns to India, Shilpa will enter her mom's kitchen and get to part with all her famous secret recipes.
Says Shilpa excitedly from London. "Everyone presumed I was as big a novice at cuisine. Not true. I've always enjoyed cooking. And I love cooking for my friends and family. Now with Raj (Kundra) and me becoming part of Andy Varma's chain, my interest in cooking has turned into a passion."
Shilpa has now gone from skimming through trade magazines to scrutinizing recipe books. The dishy actress is learning new dishes everyday from master chef Andy Varma
Determined not to let the cynics snigger about her new role as cuisine queen, Shilpa says, "You'd be surprised to know how popular Indian food is in England. Do you know the country's favourite dish is chicken tikka masala? I want them to discover our food beyond the obvious currys and biryanis. And all our Indian snacks and meals will contain under 10 percent fat."
To discover the food of India, Shilpa is now a complete foodie. "Not eating, but preparing. Nowadays I'm a sucker for recipes."
Poppadom in Memorium. That could well be the signature chant for Shilpa Shetty's new avatar as a cuisine queen.
From being called a 'poppadom' by Jade Goody to providing bonus papads with her new lineup of cuisine in Britain, Shilpa has come a long way. And she doesn't deny it.
"It's true. Jade, God bless her soul, used to call me 'Poppadam' on Big Brother. It used to hurt. Today we've papad as bonus for all the snacks and meals that I'm associated with. It's really ironic."
However, she stresses that her food offer is in no way homage to Jade Goody, as reported in the British press.

"Patiala House is a story about joint families" - Nikhil Advani
By Bollywood Hungama News Network, November 4, 2009 - 18:22 IST
After the not so impressive Chandni Chowk To China, the duo of Nikhil Advani and Akshay Kumar are once again coming together with Patiala House. According to Nikhil, Patiala House has been inspired by real life instances.
Patiala House, which stars Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma along with the evergreen jodi of Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia, tells the story of a joint family set in South hall, London. Patiala House's patriarch is Gurkreeat Singh Kalon (Rishi Kapoor) who rules and runs his family life just like a prime minister would run a government. He is a strict disciplinarian whose authority and rules are not questioned by anybody in Patiala House. Every addition in the family; be it a cousin or a cousin's cousin all get accommodated in Patiala House and every new wedding results in the house and family getting bigger and bigger.
Speaking about this film based on a joint family, Nikhil Advani says, "Our story is universal in spirit as it is a story about all joint families who have a patriarch who decides their lives and wants to keep everyone under one roof. Kalon family has been living for the last four generations in South hall and its patriarch (played by Rishi Kapoor) has created his own fiefdom in Patiala House. The entire concept of the film has been conceived by Rahul Nanda, son of famed writer and novelist Gulshan Nanda."
Shooting of the film commences in December this year and the film is slated to release in Diwali 2010.

Although
Chandni Chowk To China
didn't really look that appealing to me, I still think
Nikhil Advani's
previous two film
Kal Ho Naa Ho
and
Salaam-E-Ishq
where very good especially the fomer, so I'd watch this one because the cast is good, although I think
Rishi Kapoor
is stepping into
Amitabh Bachchan
territory by playing the patriarch figure.
Anushka Sharma
did a really commendable job in her previous film with
Shahrukh Khan
in
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
that I wanna see more of her.

Mother India: Dixit plays former PM
Bollywood and Hollywood are to collaborate on a two-part biopic of Indira Gandhi. The project, on the scale of Richard Attenborough's Gandhi, has a budget of £40 million (Dh241 million) and an international cast and crew. It will tell the life story of the former Indian prime minister who was assassinated in 1984.
Helen Mirren is in talks to reprise her role as Queen Elizabeth for the two movies, which are due to start filming in April next year in India, Britain, Russia and the US. Tom Hanks and Tommy Lee Jones are being lined up to play Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon. The British actress Emily Watson has been chosen to play Margaret Thatcher, while Albert Finney is expected to take on the role of Peter Ustinov, who was in New Delhi waiting to meet the Indian leader when she was killed. The "Queen of Bollywood", Madhuri Dixit, has been picked to play the title role in Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story.
Krishna Shah, who will direct the films, said: "This is the project of my life, both in its scale and the subject. I have been working on the script for over two decades and it is simply a story that has to be told. It took me years to find a way into her story, but I found it with her role as a mother — both to her family and to a nation with its teeming millions. Indira was India.
"The story is of how Indira is a mother in every aspect of her life, and how she used her instincts, compassion and tough love to hold the nation together — ultimately ending with her violent death.
"The films will chart her life from being a shy housewife who stumbled upon the role of prime minister, with her commitment to secularisation, women empowerment and the backward classes."
Shah said he hoped the collaboration between Bollywood and Hollywood would make tie-ups more commonplace in the next decade. "The distinction between the two is now starting to blur. Bollywood is starting to shift its outlook, which is a hugely positive move, and to diversify is the way forward for Indian cinema."
It is scheduled for release at the end of 2010.

That was the exact thing that was going thru my mind when reading the story. But he sure has some decent actors lined up.

Hard Rock Zombies
?! The write-up seems something that madali will love.
The whole article reads like speculation. I don't think this project will really happen.

SRK turns 75!
By Bollywood Hungama News Network, December 4, 2009 - 14:06 IST
After Aamir, it's now the turn for King Khan to don the grey wig for a brand. Shahrukh Khan this time has done something unprecedented and innovative, by portraying the role of a 75-year-old grandfather, romancing Tanvi Azmi as his wife.
This is for the latest Dishtv campaign that gives viewers a chance to see Shahrukh Khan in an all new avatar. In the second TVC, Shahrukh Khan is paired with Tisca Chopra where he brings home an orphan girl child who settles into the family only after an experience with Dishtv.
Some of the best creative personalities in the country have come together to create this campaign. The creative idea was conceptualized by Ad industry veteran and celebrated lyricist, Prasoon Joshi and the McCann World Group team. The commercials have been directed by the much acclaimed Anurag Basu, (director of films like Life in a Metro, Gangster and the upcoming film Kites). Eminent fashion photographer Tarun Khiwal is the man behind the still photo campaign.
The television commercials are part of the brand's new brand positioning of 'Ghar Aayi Zindagi' and convey everyday beautiful emotions, through real life situations, of families rejoicing together with their loved ones. In line with the core message of the campaign, Shahrukh Khan will bring alive warm family moments that tug at the heartstrings. Indeed, SRK is the best man for this job.
