The journey is over. After an epic six years, the story finally comes to an end in one of the greatest TV drama series of all time.
Last night's 2.5-hour finale, while leaving some mysteries open for interpretations, provided the perfect emotional closure for all of us who have invested for so long in the show's great ensemble of characters, and their individual and shared experiences. It is a fitting finale to a story that, with all the sci-fi and supernatural elements associated with it, is in its core a celebration of the power of love -- that most noble of emotions that defines us, shapes us, and makes us what we are: humans.
