Since this first cycle is over, and if you guys are up for continuing the Club, then we need to start planning the new cycle. I suggest that Shariq continue his great work by putting the new schedule after we know who is sticking with us and who is willing to give it a try for the first time. So what say you Shariq?

I agree completely, and I have loved this exercise, this Season 01 of the WM Film Club! Surprisingly, the least participation we got was from AK, just 1 review. So as is the tradition of TV Shows, we'll have his character killed off for now. Of course, we can re-introduce him & other WM members (with a twist) once they participate more!
As of now, I've updated the first post of this thread for WM Film Club Season 02 from Feb '10 until July '10. Based on further enthusiasm and participations, we can decide where to take this/next Season.
p.s.: Though the month is not over, my movie's received the least participation/attention of the members yet

Come on KT, Fizz, and the Dude! Where are your reviews. We want to start season 2 with a high rating and a postive note.

I've been out of sync with the last couple of movie of the week recommendations and have been prioritizing my list of films from 2009 over these. I should be back on track soon, but probably not this week. Count my vote in though, for continuation of this exercise for the next round.

Come on Fizz, push this one into the top of your queue, just for the spirit of the Club. It is an interesting watch, I promise.

Ha ha, I demand a thrilling return to the "show," preferably in Season 5 when it is dying and needs resurrection by a
celebrity

But, ak, do try to watch and comment on as many of these movies as may be possible for you. The PoV you bring to the discussions are always incomparable and valuable.

If the new schedule is set and no one else is willing to participate, and by that I mean the founding father AK, then Animatedude should submit his choice for the month.

Well AK, the reincarnation stunts happens all the times in the movies, so I'd say it's highly appropriate to use it over here on WM.
Bottom line, if you want in then you may kick-off the second season; you are after all appropriately the first in the alphabetic order. If you don't, then the Dude should take the lead with some corky obscure teen drama or something like that.

By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

I can set up the first movie, sure, but am not sure if I can contribute/participate regularly with reviews. Is that breaking "the rules"?

"The rules" are only to encourage people to watch the movies, and earn their participation. But then, we're not really being audited by PwC and neither are we running a military command. We're just a bunch of film enthusiasts!
Go ahead ak, give us yours! Do favor us with a review of the movie you suggest though.
