It is the
MJ
remembrance week, that is why I chose this amazing video for
Remember the Time
from the album
Dangerous
. It is a
John Singleton
directed video which featured some A-listed Black celebrities of that time:
Eddie Murphy
,
Iman
, and
Magic Johnson
. The song itself is not really one of Michael's best, but the 9 minutes video which was set in Ancient Egypt, and featured some crazy stuff, in short it was lots of fun, and of course the choreography of the dances was just impeccable; just what you'd expect from a Michael Jackson's video:

And ground-breaking effects for the time, as was usual for MJ videos.

Moby is back with a new album "
Wait for Me
". Because ak is unofficially dead, I am posting the music video from the single "Shot in the Back of the Head" here on his behalf (since I know he will be looking forward to this too). It's directed by that idiot Lynch, so some people here can cream their pants.

Although I am not a fan of Moby, but after watching the video I thought that the music was quite good and I liked it a lot. But apart from some inventive stuff, I didn't like the video that much. It is kinda hard to get. I don't know may be I am just a little dense.

If you've never heard Moby's
Play
, you don't know what you're missing. Just trust me on this one and pick it up...

By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

I've decided this thread needs a revival, so I have selected a very cool song for this relatively new American band
MGMT
. The song is
Time To Pretend
and it was featured in the Finale of the second series of
Skins
the British hit teen drama.
Lyrics:
'm Feelin rough I'm Feelin raw I'm in the prime of my life.
Let's make some music make some money find some models for wives.
I'll move to Paris, shoot some heroin and fuck with the stars.
You man the island and the cocaine and the elegant cars.
This is our decision to live fast and die young.
We've got the vision, now let's have some fun.
Yeah it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
Forget about our mothers and our friends.
We were fated to pretend.
I'll miss the playgrounds and the animals and digging up worms.
I'll miss the comfort of my mother and the weight of the world.
I'll miss my sister, miss my father, miss my dog and my home.
Yeah I'll miss the boredom and the freedom and the time spent alone.
But there is really nothing, nothing we can do.
Love must be forgotten. Life can always start up anew.
The models will have children, we'll get a divorce,
we'll find some more models, Everything must run its course.
We'll choke on our vomit and that will be the end.
We were fated to pretend.
yeah yeah yeah

Try and listen to their new album CONGRATULATIONS -- they are not releasing any "singles" from it: MGMT is encouraging radio stations to play whatever track they like from it.
I gave it a listen, but since I am not a MGMT fan, I was hardly impressed.
If you listen to it, write a few words about it.

Will do, Thanks for the tip!
I was not a fan initially, but the song caught my attention because it was in the final scene of the show I mentioned and it was really good. I then listened to their other hit
Kids
which was good too.
